$150.00
join us for an evening of fun, great food & wine, dancing & strengthening our community!
Our 3rd annual Heart of the Community Gala & Auction takes place April 29, 2023, at the Colombo Lodge in Cranbrook. We are excited to be hosting an “Evening in Venice.” The great Colombo cooks are preparing a special four-course Italian dinner. It’s a unique one night only menu including charcuterie martinis, osso buco and brown butter sage gnocchi, classic tiramisu, signature cocktails, Italian wine pairings and more. We’ll have live and silent auctions, a unique photo opportunity, and live music featuring local band, the Testers, to dance us into the night.
Dress is semi-formal. Venetian costumes are welcome, but optional.
5pm Cocktails. 6pm Dinner. Dance to follow.
All funds raised by the Gala go towards supporting local initiatives in your community!
Our Rotary Club has been at the Heart of The Community since 1922. In June of 2022, we celebrated 100 years of service in Cranbrook. Through the dedicated efforts of community minded volunteers and supporters like you, over those years Rotary has provided the vision and leadership to complete many of our community legacy projects, including:>
- Rotary Park, including the Children’s Spray Park, Band Stand, and washrooms
- McKinnon Park
- Children’s zipline & playground equipment and Paved Ridge Trail with an outdoor classroom at Idlewild Park
- Rotary Scott Villa – affordable housing for seniors
- Annual Colombo Lodge Christmas Dinner – 400+ seniors
- Rotary Way – a walking/cycling trail through Cranbrook
- The Rotary Clocktower
- Most recently our Centennial Project- Phase 1 of the Moir Park walking/cycling trail
In addition, we also provide financial assistance to dozens of charitable groups that provide hope and optimism for children, seniors, and those less fortunate in our community. There are too many to list, but a sampling includes: Angel Flight East Kootenay, Scouts, Canadian Mental Health Association, Senior’s Citizen Hall, Cranbrook Public Library, Cranbrook History Centre, Salvation Army.
